Welcome to Shared Paths! These Terms & Conditions apply to everyone booking or joining a Shared Paths trip. By registering, you agree to follow these terms on your behalf and, if applicable, for anyone you're booking for.
Effective Date: July 30, 2025
“Shared Paths” means our company running the trip.
“You” / “Traveler” / “Participant” means the person booking or joining a trip.
“Trip/Retreat” means any travel program organised by Shared Paths.
“Deposit” means the initial amount paid to reserve your spot.
“Payment” means the total cost of the trip (including the deposit).
“Program Partner” means third parties we work with (e.g. local guides, transport, hotels).
You must be 18 years or older to join, unless traveling with a legal guardian.
Submitting a waitlist/booking form means you’ve read, understood, and accepted these terms.
Your spot is only confirmed once:
a) Your full payment (or installment) is received.
b) You submit all required documents, including passport info and travel details.
3. Payments
All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise.
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the trip begins. Late payment will result in your spot being released.
If you're paying in installments, you’ll receive reminders to complete payment.
We understand plans change. Here's how cancellations work:
Deposits are non-refundable for any reason whatsoever. Applicants who cancel their participation in the trip may be subject to the following charges:
For cancellations made 14 days or less prior to the commencement of the program, no amount will be refunded.
For cancellations made between 15 and 30 days prior to the commencement of the program, the applicant will be refunded for 25% of the total trip package price.
For cancellations made 31 days or more prior to the commencement of the program, the applicant will be refunded 75% of the total trip package price.
Note: All cancellations must be sent by email. Refunds are processed within 14 working days.
You’re responsible for your own flights, visas, vaccinations, and insurance.
We will guide you, but you must check the latest requirements with your embassy or airline.
You are responsible for obtaining your own travel insurance, which we strongly recommend to cover medical emergencies, cancellations, delays, and lost property.
We do our best to follow the published itinerary, but changes may occur due to weather, local conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.
Shared Paths is not responsible for delays, missed flights, or changes beyond our control.
Accommodation is usually shared unless you request a private option (at an extra cost).
Meals, transport, and activities included in the trip will be clearly listed before departure.
Respect fellow travelers, local communities, and Shared Path staff at all times.
If you violate safety rules or show disrespect, we reserve the right to remove you from the trip without a refund.
Any damages to property are your responsibility to pay for.
You confirm that you're physically and mentally able to join the trip.
Let us know about any allergies, dietary needs, or medical conditions at least 2 weeks before departure.
We may take photos or videos during trips for promotional use.
If you do not wish to appear in any content, let our facilitators know before the trip starts.
If you send us photos/videos, you allow us to use them in our marketing (unless you say otherwise).
You join Shared Paths trips at your own risk.
Shared Paths is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage during the trip.
We are not liable for third-party issues (e.g. hotel errors, transport delays, or visa denials).
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the trip.
By booking a trip with Shared Paths, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
You understand that participation in group travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: personal injury, illness, property loss or damage, transportation delays, natural disasters, political unrest, or other unpredictable events.
You voluntarily assume all risks associated with the trip, including travel to and from the destination, group activities, and any optional excursions or free-time activities you choose to participate in.
You release and hold harmless Shared Paths, its employees, trip facilitators, local partners, and representatives from any liability for injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience, whether to person or property, that may occur during your travel experience, except where caused by proven gross negligence on our part.
Shared Paths does not provide medical care. In the event of an emergency, you are solely responsible for any medical treatment or evacuation costs incurred.
You confirm that you are physically and mentally fit to travel and take part in the trip. You are responsible for obtaining your own travel insurance, which we strongly recommend to cover medical emergencies, cancellations, delays, and lost property.
You agree to follow all safety guidelines shared by Shared Paths, local guides, and accommodation providers during the trip.
We collect your information to plan your trip. We’ll never sell or share it without your permission.
